Seller's description

Sleek vintage black leather shoulder tote with gold-tone hardware. Clean, versatile design for everyday use. Lightweight and easy to carry with double straps. Smooth finish complements any outfit. Leather is in really good shape with only a little bit of wear on the strap (see photo). No cracks in the leather and inside lining is fully in tact. Would not be able to fit a laptop, but definitely an iPad or other tablets.

Evidence

POSITIVE
  • photo 2: Leather-looking black shoulder tote with sewn construction and gold-tone buckle hardware is consistent with a generic leather handbag.
  • photo 3: The bag has a practical tote silhouette and visible even-looking seams.
  • photo 2: black leather shoulder tote with brass-tone hardware, a population where misidentified vintage Coach hides
  • photo 2-4: pebbled leather texture and simple unlogoed design broadly consistent with 1990s leather totes, but not diagnostic
NEGATIVE
  • photo 2: No COACH wordmark, horse-and-carriage mark, creed patch, hangtag, or other Coach identifier is visible.
  • photo 2: The prominent gold-tone buckle hardware and double-strap tote construction do not match a recognizable classic Coach model.
  • photo 3: The leather appears pebbled/textured rather than clearly identifiable as vintage Coach glove-tanned leather.
  • photo 5: Visible zipper hardware is not shown with a Coach-era stamp, and no classic Coach turnlock is present.
  • photo 1: Seller lifestyle photo does not provide useful brand or interior-identification evidence.
  • photo 2-6: no creed patch, COACH wordmark, horse-and-carriage, or hangtag visible
  • photo 2-3: no turnlock; closure is zip-top with decorative buckle straps, not a classic Coach turnlock silhouette
  • photo 2-6: no solid-brass turnlock, dogleash clips, bead-chain hangtag, or Talon/YKK zipper stamp visible to support Coach
  • photo 1-6: no catalog match to a specific Coach style; double buckle-strap zip tote is generic and widely copied
MISSING INFORMATION
  • photo 2-6: Interior is not shown; request a fully opened interior, back wall, slip pockets, and any sewn-in labels.
  • photo 2-6: Request close-ups of every interior label, stamp, zipper pull, and hardware engraving.
  • photo 2-6: Request bottom, side, corner, and full strap-attachment views.
  • photo 2-6: Seller states the lining is intact, but this is not verifiable from the provided photos.
  • interior views including creed patch straight-on in raking light (photo checklist 1-2)
  • bottom, sides and back views with scale (photo checklist 5, 8)
  • zipper pull brand stamp and buckle close-ups (photo checklist 3)
  • hangtag both faces if present (photo checklist 4)
  • strap full length and fold points (photo checklist 6)
  • Made-in line / fabric tags in seams
AUTHENTICITY CONCERNS
  • ⚠ No Coach-specific identifier or recognizable Coach construction is visible; this currently reads as a generic leather tote rather than a misidentified vintage Coach bag.
  • ⚠ The design lacks the turnlock, creed, hangtag, or other high-value evidence expected for a classic vintage Coach identification.
