Evidence

POSITIVE
  • photo 1: Clearly a handbag with a hinged top, carrying handle, clasp, and substantial interior capacity.
  • photo 6: Interior and lid are lined with coarse burlap-like material, consistent with a novelty wooden handbag.
NEGATIVE
  • photo 1: The bag is constructed primarily from wood with printed/decorative scenic panels, not Coach glove-tanned leather, suede, or Coach signature canvas.
  • photo 1: The horse-and-carriage scene is decorative artwork and is not a legible Coach wordmark or Coach horse-and-carriage logo.
  • photo 1: Bright red glossy handle, silver-tone clasp, and novelty scenic construction do not match documented vintage Coach classic construction.
  • photo 6: No Coach creed patch, serial/style number, or brand label is visible in the open interior.
  • photo 2: No Coach hangtag, wordmark, or recognizable Coach hardware is visible.
  • photo 1-4: rigid octagonal wooden box body with all-over Victorian street-scene decoupage print, not glove-tanned leather
  • photo 1-6: red plastic/tortoise top handle and silver-tone ball clasp and hinges, not solid brass Coach hardware
  • photo 6: coarse woven burlap/jute interior lining with rick-rack trim, never used by Coach
  • photo 5: solid wood bottom with wood feet and handwritten mark, no Coach creed patch or stamp
  • photo 1-4: no turnlock, no leather hangtag, no COACH wordmark visible
MISSING INFORMATION
  • photo 6: A closer photograph of the interior walls, underside of the lid, and any labels or stamps would confirm whether any maker mark is present.
  • photo 1: Close-ups of the clasp, handle attachments, and scenic panel edges could help identify the actual novelty-bag maker and date.
  • Seller-stated dimensions and weight are not provided.
  • No Coach creed, wordmark, or serial to verify - none expected on this construction
  • No leather, lining, or brass hardware details relevant to Coach to request
AUTHENTICITY CONCERNS
  • ⚠ The object appears to be a non-Coach wooden novelty or souvenir handbag; the decorative horse-and-carriage imagery should not be treated as Coach branding.
  • ⚠ No Coach identifiers are visible, and the materials and construction are inconsistent with the vintage Coach handbag population.
