Evidence

POSITIVE
  • photo 1: The item is a small vintage-looking textile handbag with a structured wood frame and handles.
  • photo 4: The ruler suggests a compact handbag size, consistent with an older evening or sewing bag.
NEGATIVE
  • photo 1: Red floral tapestry fabric and exposed wooden frame handles are not characteristic of Coach's glove-tanned leather handbag construction.
  • photo 2: No visible Coach wordmark, carriage emblem, leather hangtag, or creed patch.
  • photo 3: The bag appears to be a simple textile pouch or sewing/evening bag rather than a recognizable Coach leather silhouette.
  • photo 5: Side view shows thin textile construction and wood frame; no Coach-style leather strap or hardware is visible.
  • photo 6: No identifying brand elements are visible.
  • photo 1-5: red floral tapestry fabric body, not glove-tanned leather or Coach signature canvas
  • photo 1-6: solid wood frame handles, never used on Coach handbags
  • photo 1-6: no creed patch, no COACH wordmark, no hangtag, no turnlock visible
  • photo 6: thin flat textile construction with side profile inconsistent with Coach leather construction
MISSING INFORMATION
  • photo 1-6: Interior is not shown; request clear photographs of both interior sides, any labels, pockets, and closures.
  • photo 1-6: No close-up of the frame hardware, closure, seams, or any attached label is provided.
  • photo 1-6: Bottom and full reverse views are not shown.
  • photo 1-6: Seller's 1940s date is not independently supported by a label or documented provenance.
  • no interior creed or label close-up shown, but material alone excludes Coach
  • no hardware close-up needed - no metal hardware present
AUTHENTICITY CONCERNS
  • ⚠ photo 1-6: The visible textile-and-wood construction is inconsistent with the primary vintage Coach handbag population, which is predominantly leather with Coach-specific identifiers.
  • ⚠ photo 1-6: No Coach identifier is visible, so Coach manufacture cannot be supported from these photographs.
  • ⚠ photo 1-6: non-leather tapestry fabric body and wooden frame handles are inconsistent with any Coach era construction
