Seller's description

A fake logo was taken off of the front and fabric was glued down in its place. Fabric should stay well in its place as long as it’s not pulled on or messed with. Has a couple markings on inside flap. Some general wear on metal details. In good vintage condition otherwise. I think this bag is real leather but I’m not 100% sure. No brand or tags. Measures about 11.5” x 8” + 22.5” tall strap. *disclaimer* Vintage and used items may contain minor wear due to use and age. Notable flaws will be mentioned in description. Colors may vary picture to picture due to lighting and editing. Please ask any questions before purchasing.

Evidence

POSITIVE
  • photo 1: Clearly a handbag with a shoulder strap and top handle.
  • photo 2: The bag has a structured flap satchel silhouette and substantial-looking metal fittings, but these are not specifically Coach features.
  • photo 1: structured flap shoulder bag in leather-like material with vintage styling
NEGATIVE
  • photo 1: The front closure is a decorative floral/tartan ornament and buckle-like strap, not a recognizable Coach turnlock.
  • photo 2: No legible COACH wordmark, horse-and-carriage, hangtag, or creed patch is visible.
  • photo 3: The back has no visible Coach branding or identifying stamp.
  • photo 4: The interior flap and pocket area show no visible creed or Coach label.
  • photo 5: The material appears pebbled and possibly synthetic or coated rather than clearly glove-tanned Coach leather.
  • photo 6: The hardware and handle construction look generic and do not match typical vintage Coach classic construction.
  • listing text: Seller states that a fake logo was removed and fabric was glued over the area; this is a significant alteration and provides no evidence of Coach manufacture.
  • photo 1, photo 2: pebbled dark green body with contrasting brown trim and light contrast stitching - Dooney & Bourke All-Weather Leather look, not Coach tone-on-tone smooth glove-tanned
  • photo 5: closure is magnetic snap, not Coach turnlock
  • photo 2, photo 6: top handle on rectangular metal mounting plates plus detachable thin crossbody strap on lobster clips - not a Coach catalog silhouette like Willis/Court/Station
  • photo 1-6: no creed patch, no COACH wordmark, no horse-and-carriage, no leather hangtag visible
  • photo 2: front center medallion area covered with glued plaid fabric with daisies - non-original alteration
MISSING INFORMATION
  • A straight-on close-up of the altered front area before or beneath the glued fabric, if available.
  • A close-up of every interior label, stamp, or pocket seam.
  • A clear material close-up or seller confirmation of whether the exterior is genuine leather.
  • Photos of zipper pulls, hardware backs, strap clips, and any maker markings.
  • Condition details for the glued fabric repair and whether the adhesive is secure.
  • interior main compartment and any interior patch / fabric label not shown
  • close-up of hardware stamps / zipper brand not shown
  • bottom and corners close-up not shown
AUTHENTICITY CONCERNS
  • ⚠ The seller explicitly reports that a fake logo was removed and fabric was glued over the front, raising concern about a logo-bearing lookalike or altered non-Coach bag.
  • ⚠ No Coach identifier is visible anywhere in the supplied photos.
  • ⚠ The decorative closure, pebbled material, contrast trim, lining, and hardware are internally more consistent with a generic fashion bag than a vintage Coach classic.
  • ⚠ The glued-over front area prevents evaluation of whatever branding or decoration was previously present.
  • ⚠ photo 2: front flap center altered - seller states fake logo removed and plaid fabric glued in its place, so original brand identifier destroyed

hardware description Gold-tone clips, rings, handle mounts, and snap hardware are visible in photos 1, 2, 4, and 6; no Coach engraving is visible. The front has a decorative floral/tartan closure rather than a Coach-style turnlock.
leather description The exterior has a fine pebbled surface with dark green and brown contrast trim, but genuine leather cannot be established from the photos; the seller is also uncertain about the material.
lining description Light beige lining or backing is visible under the flap in photo 5, with a dark interior pocket; no fabric brand label or creed is visible.
strap construction Long, narrow shoulder strap attached with metal clips at both sides, visible in photos 1 and 3; no Coach-specific strap construction is apparent.
stitching description Visible contrast stitching is generally regular around the edges and front trim in photos 2, 4, and 5, but it is generic and not sufficient to identify Coach.
