Seller's description

This is a Gold Damask/Brocade Fabric Handbag with a top handle wrapped in a silk like thread. It has gold sequin embellishments across the top front of the handbag with a dual snap closure. It has metal beads on the handle. The bag is very light weight, but can hold a lot because of its elongated shape. There is one zippered pocket which divides the two interior sections. I believe the handbag is vintage, but not sure how old it is. There is no identifying label. Length 12” 7” not including the handle Width 2.5” Please inspect the photos carefully. All reasonable offers considered. All sales are final.

Evidence

POSITIVE
  • photo 1: Clearly a handbag with a structured elongated body and top handles.
  • photo 4: Interior shows multiple compartments and a central zippered divider.
  • photo 1-6: object is a handbag with handles, interior compartments, elongated shape per seller dimensions
NEGATIVE
  • photo 1: Exterior is woven/embossed-looking fabric with decorative embellishment, not visible glove-tanned leather or Coach signature canvas.
  • photo 1: No visible Coach wordmark, horse-and-carriage, creed patch, or leather hangtag.
  • photo 2: Decorative gold-toned sequin/bead band and ornate handles are not characteristic of the classic Coach catalog silhouettes.
  • photo 4: Interior is fabric-lined with synthetic-looking compartments, inconsistent with classic unlined glove-tanned Coach construction.
  • photo 5: Hardware appears to be snap closures rather than a Coach-style turnlock.
  • listing text: Seller describes the bag as gold damask/brocade fabric and states there is no identifying label.
  • photo 1-3: body is gold damask/brocade woven fabric, not glove-tanned cowhide
  • photo 1-6: no creed patch, no COACH wordmark, no horse-and-carriage, no leather hangtag visible
  • photo 4-5: tan synthetic fabric lining with center zip divider, not unlined suede interior of vintage Coach classics
  • photo 1,4,5: dual wrapped wire top handles with gold beads and dual snap closure, not Coach turnlock, brass dogleash, or dowel-handle construction
  • photo 4-5: seller describes as very lightweight with no identifying label - inconsistent with heavy solid-brass glove-tanned Coach
MISSING INFORMATION
  • A close-up of every interior label or sewn-in tag, although no label is visible in the provided interior photos.
  • Close-ups of zipper pulls and hardware markings.
  • Bottom, corners, and handle attachment details for condition assessment.
  • Seller-stated material composition and approximate purchase history.
  • No creed patch visible - interior shows no stamped leather patch (photos 4-6)
  • No Coach wordmark, hangtag, or hardware stamps visible in any photo
  • No bottom, close-up hardware, or label photos to further confirm maker
AUTHENTICITY CONCERNS
  • ⚠ The visible fabric, ornate decorative treatment, snap construction, and synthetic-looking lining do not match the typical construction of vintage Coach leather handbags.
  • ⚠ No Coach identifier is visible in any provided photo; this appears to be an unbranded or other-brand decorative fabric handbag rather than a Coach item.
