Evidence

POSITIVE
  • photo 1: clearly structured leather handbag with a top handle and flap closure.
  • photo 1: construction appears to use leather or leather-like material and substantial metal fittings.
NEGATIVE
  • photo 1: highly glossy patent-like black finish is unlike the matte-to-satin glove-tanned leather typical of classic vintage Coach.
  • photo 1: bright silver-tone hardware is inconsistent with most 1960s–early 1990s Coach classics, which predominantly used solid brass.
  • photo 1: the central flap fitting is a decorative elongated bar rather than a recognizable Coach turnlock.
  • photo 1: no legible COACH wordmark, horse-and-carriage, leather hangtag, or creed patch is visible.
  • photo 3: handle hardware is chunky and bright silver-tone, with no visible Coach marking.
  • photo 6: exposed edge construction and glossy finish suggest a generic patent or coated-leather fashion bag rather than a classic Coach construction.
  • photo 1: silver-tone handle hardware, not solid brass vintage Coach hardware
  • photo 1: high-gloss smooth black leather, not matte glove-tanned cowhide with natural grain
  • photo 1: flap with center leather loop/tab closure, no brass turnlock with Coach geometry
  • photos 1-6: no COACH wordmark, horse-and-carriage, creed patch, or hangtag visible
  • photo 6: white underlayer showing at flap corner indicates coated/bonded leather or edge paint loss, inconsistent with 1970s-1990s unlined glove-tanned construction
MISSING INFORMATION
  • photo 1–6: no interior-wide photograph clearly showing the back wall, slip pockets, zipper pocket, or any brand/creed label.
  • photo 1–6: bottom, side, and full handle-attachment views are incomplete.
  • photo 1–6: no close-up of the seller-mentioned initials J.A.H.
  • photo 1–6: no zipper-pull, clasp-back, or hardware-stamp close-up.
  • photo 1–6: the included coin purse is not shown clearly enough for identification.
  • photo of interior emptied showing lining, pockets and any creed patch or labels
  • photo of back, sides and bottom showing all corners
  • close-up of closure mechanism and handle hardware stamps
  • photo of coin purse and any markings/initials
AUTHENTICITY CONCERNS
  • ⚠ The glossy patent-like leather, bright silver hardware, and nonstandard flap fitting do not align with the construction of the likely vintage Coach models.
  • ⚠ No Coach identifier is visible in the supplied photographs; this is best treated as a generic vintage-style handbag unless an interior label is found.
