Seller's description

Vintage mid-century doctor bag satchel in pebble taupe with aged brass-tone metal rings, feet, and clasp. The interior has a zippered compartment. Fair condition with visible peeling, scratches, and finish loss on the clasp hardware, interior stains and discoloration, and surface wear around the handle attachments. Still has alot of life left to show off. Perfect for that mid century mod vibe

Evidence

POSITIVE
  • photo 6: clearly a structured leather handbag with aged-looking metal feet and rings.
  • photo 1: leather trim and metal hardware are visible, which can occur on vintage handbags generally.
NEGATIVE
  • photos 1-6: no visible Coach wordmark, horse-and-carriage, creed patch, serial/style number, or Coach hangtag.
  • photos 1, 2, and 6: heavily pebbled leather and a doctor-bag satchel construction do not closely match the smooth glove-tanned leather and classic Coach silhouettes emphasized for vintage Coach.
  • photos 1-6: the visible clasp is a small rectangular closure rather than a recognizable Coach turnlock.
  • photo 5: the leather shows extensive finish loss, discoloration, and wear around the handle attachment.
  • listing text: seller identifies the bag as AFINA/unbranded rather than Coach; this is weak evidence but consistent with the lack of Coach identifiers.
MISSING INFORMATION
  • photo showing the complete interior, including any brand label or creed patch
  • straight-on close-up of the central clasp and all hardware
  • close-ups of zipper pulls, interior zipper compartment, bottom, and handle attachments
  • any interior fabric tag, embossed mark, or country-of-origin stamp
  • seller-stated dimensions and a photo of the bag next to a ruler
AUTHENTICITY CONCERNS
  • ⚠ photos 1-6: no Coach-specific identifier is visible, so the bag currently reads as a generic or other-brand pebbled leather satchel rather than an identifiable Coach piece.
  • ⚠ photos 1-6: visible hardware and silhouette do not provide a strong match to a cataloged vintage Coach model.
